Where the Quarter meets the Marigny
Esplanade Avenue is the downriver edge of the French Quarter, and the Marigny begins on its far side. This building is in the Marigny Triangle, the first few blocks of the neighborhood, where the two meet.
Directly across Esplanade is the Old U.S. Mint, built in 1835, which now houses the New Orleans Jazz Museum. The French Market and the river are steps beyond it, and Crescent Park, with its riverfront paths, is about a block away. Frenchmen Street, the city's best-known stretch of live music clubs, is a short walk into the Marigny.
For guests and for owners
For visitors, that means the Quarter, the river and Frenchmen Street are all on foot. For an owner, it means a place in one of the city's oldest neighborhoods that can earn its keep while they are away.
